Starting off at the Western end of Pyrmont Bridge, the tour looks at many historic sites in the area- many of which now only distant memories, such as quarry sites and the Pyrmont Baths. The tour ends at the TAFE and UTS campuses near Harris St.

Facing west if you turn to your left you will see the Former Rail Line and Goods Yard (now Darling Harbour Complex)

Turn right on Murray St and head along Murray St, through Pyrmont Bay Park to where there is pedestrian access around the finger wharves. Cross Pirrama Rd and onto Jones Bay Rd. Walk uphill to Star City- Pyrmont Power House on your left and then St Bede’s Catholic Church at the end of the street on the opposite side.

Go back from where you have come along Jones Bay Rd to Pirrama Rd curving around to the left passing Darling Island to the right on your way.

Further along to your right is the former Pyrmont Baths Site and Turpin Installation.

Take the stairs to the left up to Point St. Walk along Point Street and you will see to the right the Ways Terrace Flats and to the left a beautiful house formerly the Caledonian Hotel (nearest x-road Bowman St.)

Head down Bowman St turning left into Cross St and then right into Scott St.

Take the first left into Harris St and then first right into John St passing the former John St School on your left.

Turn left into Mount St, left down the stairs to (lower) Mount St. Follow the cliff and you will encounter a face of ‘Yellow block’ sandstone.

Continue along Quarry Master Drive and to the right is the Griffin Destructor. Turning left into Bank St and following the road along the Sydney Fish Markets are to the right.

Before the Fish Markets, turn left into Miller St and along to the intersection with Harris St where you will See the War Memorial on the opp side of the road.

Turn right into Harris st and straight down passing The site of Historic pubs to your left (nearest x-road Pyrmont Bridge Rd.)

Continue along Harris St turning left into Allen St where to your right is former Pitt, Son and Badgery No.1 Woolstores site and behind that, Goldsbrough Mort Woolstores.

Continue along Allen St until it turns left into Murray St. Continue along to Pyrmont Bridge again.
