Abstract:
In the early hours of April 25th, thousands of men and women gather to commend the Australians and New Zealanders who fought in World War I. Brisbane's ever frequented Shrine of Remembrance and Anzac Square are two moving tributes to their memory. "...At the going down of the sun, and in the morning. We will remember them. Lest we forget." The Shrine of Remembrance is located in ANZAC Square between Adelaide Street and Ann Street. Within it are the Shrine of Memories, dedicated to those who served in World War II.
