Suncorp Stadium

If you’re just going to look at the stadium, it’s free – if you want to experience the awesome feeling of watching a rugby or football game, tickets are $20 upwards. For more details on upcoming events and ticket prices, check out the website www.suncorpstadium.com.au
The stadium is within walking distance of the CBD (about 25 minutes) or alternatively you can catch the 375 or 385 bus, or catch a train to Roma Street Station or Milton Station. Milton Station is the closest train stop.

Starting the tour

Start from Milton Station. (To reach Milton from Central Station, take the Ipswich Line (green) and get off at Milton, which is two stops away, after Roma Street Station.) Tickets are $3.50 (off peak).

Section 1:
Directions:

Exit the station via the right hand side (the side with the Castlemaine beer factory) and turn right. Walk for about two minutes and you will be able to see the stadium on the other side of the road. Cross via the bridge, which will lead you directly to it.

Stopover:

At the entrance of the stadium there is a bronze statue of Wally Lewis, a rugby legend whose performances earned him the title ‘The Emperor of Lang Park’. Surrounding the statue are plaques in the floor commemorating other sporting legends.
